Present Status of AWT Lahore  Phase 2  development
Salient features of AWT Housing Scheme :

1. AWT is managed by the Army Welfare Trust of Pakistan Army, which is an independent Group containing a number of Industrial and Financial Units
2. Secured Sale and Purchase process of Plots under strict AWT bye Laws.
3. No Filing System or duplication of Plots. Plots once purchased will remain on ground on the same location under the same name
4. Development of the housing scheme is complete and now offered for construction / possession
5. All facilities available. Roads, Electricity, Water, Sewerage, Street Lights etc.
6. Located in the middle of the new housing societies like Bahria Town, Fazaiyah, Lake City etc.

What is the difference between “DHA Phase 7 Allocation File” and “DHA Phase 7 Plot”.

CMY,What is the difference between “DHA Phase 7 Allocation File” and “DHA Phase 7 Plot”.Where these files shall be located??

I want to buy a DHA Phase 7 Plot to build my house in 2 years. What do you recommend for me.

DHA Lahore Phase 7

DHA file is used It means plot location is not know yet and development charges are not included in price. Where word plot is used it means plot location is know and development charges are included in file.

They could be located in any block but if you ask me for my feeling “I THINK” new DHA phase 7 files are most likely to be located in the under development area under T U and X blocks. This new under development area will have about 3000 new plots added in DHA Lahore to make it about 17000 plots in DHA Lahore phase 7.
I think you should aviod DHA 7 allocation file and buy an on ground developed area plot in DHA 7 for about 28 to 30 lacs. Please not plots are now available in DHA 7 W block as low as 31.50 lacs.

CMY,Thanks for such a detailed answer, I have few more questions and I hope that you won’t mind. I want to invest with a clear mind.If I buy a plot now, when can I build a house (approximately)??

If I buy a file now, when can I build a house (approximately)??

What are the development charges if I buy a file??

In what blocks development is going on and what is the status of the development??

What can be the lowest price of a plot (As I have seen as low as 26 lacs)??

What shall be the cost other than the land cost (transfer chargers, CMY charges)??

JameelDHA 7 is very rightly priced investment.
Some Block of DHA 7 will get possession sooner than other Like In 1/2 of Q and S Block you may get possession in one year and In X Y you may get in 3 Years, Files also may be converted in Plots in3 years time frame.
Currently DHA 7 development Charges are 9 Lac.
development is Going Fast in Q S R and T U are showing early Signs P is not yet developed same is true for other Blocks
In 26 Lac you can try Luck in X Block average Location but that will be better than File.

DHA, See the wikimapia Classic for encroachments and you may have to physically visit the Phase to Find areas which are not in Possession of DHA, Although people are optimistic that most of Land will be Finally be taken over by DHA, As happened in DHA 6 and Golf Course, DHA is getting more and more Land negotiating with owners case to case basis. A Khan W Block have no signs of development as per my information, Before making any purchase it is worthwhile to visit the site, Better to avoid Plot Located on Encroachemnts, and and area not yet possessed by
